<long-desc>In case you have missed your bangers and bacon, it’s Men’s Breakfast time again.

Our guest speaker is Martin Cavender who is a lawyer by profession. He practised for 21 years in Somerset, specialising in Ecclesiastical Law as Diocesan Registrar of Bath & Wells and chapter Clerk to Wells Cathedral. In 1992, he was called out of the Law into full-time work with the “Springboard” initiative of the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, working around this country and the wider Anglican Communion in encouraging, renewing and mobilising the Church for evangelism and mission. He now directs “ReSource”, a work of renewal for mission in the power of the Holy Spirit which builds upon the distinguished history of Anglican Renewal Ministries and the mission experience of “Springboard”.

He says, “I believe Jesus came to set us free from religion and bring us fully to life. God made us and does what he does out of freedom – he likes us. The evidence is all around us. I believe he longs to make us new, all the time : and that he does so not just for a personal blessing but for a purpose – and that purpose, mission”.

Do come along and don’t forget to invite a friend!
